Katrin Werling
Biography
Katrin Werling has worked in operative and management positions across sales, marketing and advertising for more than 20 years. After training in sales and completing an international degree in business administration, she started her career in one of the top ten global media agencies. She worked in Germany and abroad across a range of multi-national clients and became co-founder of one of Germany’s first online media agencies.
From 1997 she built up the online advertising department for an interactive advertising agency from scratch, from 2000 for the media agency which asked her to join its Board in 2001. For nine years, she was responsible for driving new business and handling a significant share of the agency’s existing client budgets. During the dotcom era, she developed an email call center platform as a private business venture which she sold successfully in 2001.
From 2009 to 2016 she worked in one of Germany’s most dynamic media houses. In different positions, Marketing Director as the latest, she carried out several re-structuring projects and programmes focused on increased productivity and cost-cutting.
